archive is a private, voice-first journal. you talk, and archive turns that into a readable transcript while keeping the original recording — mood and tags are suggested but always yours to edit. there's no account requirement, no streaks or gamification, no social feed, and no ai chatbot that talks back: archive transcribes and organizes what you say, it never generates a reply. it's built around natural speech, including switching between english, hindi and hinglish mid-sentence, without asking you to pick one language first.
why it's being built
most journaling apps assume you're willing to type, or that a blank page is a fine place to start. for a lot of moments — walking, driving, lying in bed, right after something happened — that assumption doesn't hold, and the entry just doesn't get made. archive exists for the moments where talking is the only realistic option, and for people who think out loud rather than in sentences on a page.
who's behind it
archive is being built by a small team; at this stage of the project, product decisions and this website are made under an "archive team" byline rather than individual names — a placeholder, not a final decision: founder-specific details (names, backgrounds) will be added here once there's something concrete and accurate to say, not invented for the sake of a page looking more populated than the project currently is.
android first, ios later
archive is launching on android first — a sequencing choice, not a signal that ios matters less. an ios version is planned to follow, with its own timeline once development actually begins. nothing on this site claims either app is available in an app store today; the current, honest status is pre-launch, waitlist-only.
current status
pre-launch. there is no public download yet, on either platform. joining the waitlist is the way to get real launch news as it happens, and to say which platform you're actually waiting for.
